Recently Miss Elodie had the opportunity to visit the place of her ancestors.
After traveling through fields of sugarcane,
she stood within the hallowed walls of the church attended by the original Élodie.
Later she rested in a home once inhabited by neighbors of Mère Élodie.
That evening she captured images of burning sugarcane. The grinding season has arrived!
Oh for a return to those days!
